EnduroDEV like most businesses started out in the garage and was the culmination of riding buddies discussing and trying to find ways to get their bikes to work better. It was about passion for us and finding better ways of doing things. At the time we did not have the money to pay for services, but had the time and patience to try to figure things out on our own. Like many, we started with buying DIY kits and quickly realized the limitations of these kits. These limitations were in part based on what was supplied, but most importantly the lack of knowledge and tool base. We spent time making changes to better understand how suspension components work. Ultimately we abandoned using aftermarket valves and instead relyed on the OEM valves. We changed things one at a time, then tested. We did this over and over for hundreds upon hundreds of hours to gain knowledge and then one day things started to make a lot more sense. 

 

Fast forward quite a few years and a few jobs with few OEM's. Here the access to the secret rooms, the secret people, and the secret processes was gained. So much was learned from these experiences expanding upon the self learned knowledge base. Being able to see what goes into a factory teams race setup is quite the learning lesson. The most important lesson is the process these teams take to get the best out of every piece of suspension. There is a very detailed process that is repeatable and very scientific to limit variables. We learned not only what tools are used, but also the how and why they are used. Also learning what the limitations of each tool is whether it be a theory tool, a lab tool, or a real world tool. 

 

From there, an Idea was born to take EnduroDEV from a private business for select people to replicating the products and processes that factory tuning can make for riders by applying the lessons we learned. EnduroDEV has worked with past national and world wide champions on bike setup and tuning and has been instrumental in their successes. We have partnered with the most advanced data and suspension companies in the world so to be able to offer the experience factory riders have. Aside from some "unobtanium" metals, there is no difference in our process and development.
